ARTASURA is a visual project that didn’t have a clear purpose in 2012 when I took the first shots of the series. It started with an obsession, the recurring theme of the primitive glimpse in us. To what extent is the initial human seed still present in us, to what extent is nature still primitive in us? Or in simple terms, the connection of human beings as we are today and the objective nature. It was inevitable to tackle the topic without going to the representations of this chemistry human-nature. The mythological characters, left sedimented within our subconscious. I followed the tangible model of these representations and personalizations in my attempts to reproduce the visual discourse, hoping to find my own evrika in the process. So, some of the images tried to depict supreme beings, or old forgotten gods, and others embodiments of human emotions in nature’s protective arms.
